SSG Access is a service for access and skills control for industry, with project staffing and electronic contractor registration options.
This service allows industrial plants to easily check whether contractors meet the necessary requirements to be allowed to work there, and also to simplify and automate site access. The staffing function allows plants to register products and link contracting companies, which can then define staffing in accordance with the skills requirements in place at the plant. Hence the plant can ensure compliance with the requirements defined for the work to be carried out.
SSG Access simplifies skills control for industrial plants. Anyone who has passed any of the SSG courses is allocated an Access card. Any contractor arriving at site security places their card on the card reader. The SSG system is checked and a green light is shown if the contractor meets the requirements for work. This allows rapid and efficient checking of authorisation, and the process can also be automated by using the Access card as a site access card at the plant.
Contracting companies can staff a project on behalf of an industry in the staffing function. The plant registers the project and links the contracting company with it, and the project can then be staffed with the required resources. The plant can make sure that the necessary skills requirements are met with this, and administration and contact with the company are facilitated. The contractor can then use a mobile phone to check in and out of the electronic personnel register, which is compliant with Swedish Tax Agency requirements (SKVFS 2015:6).
There are two versions of SSG Access available: Standard and High. The SSG Entry concept is included in SSG Entre Standard, and this service also functions seamlessly with the supplier assessment service SSG Supplier and all SSG courses. A plant’s local courses can also be added as access requirements. SSG Access is currently used by over 200 industrial plants in Sweden, and its simplified access and skills control provide benefits for industrial plants and contractors alike. Both the plant and the contracting company are able to effectively control and monitor who is carrying out work, entirely in line with regulatory requirements.
