The Product Database Committee was launched in 1993 under the name of the SKC Committee, and it works with issues relating to availability of spare parts, stock optimisation, coordination and development and proposed improvements for the service and its content. This committee also has an important part to play in that it detects what industry needs and helps to develop the service, or supplementary services, adding value in respect of spare parts. The members of this committee are actively involved in business intelligence, network building and knowledge exchange.
The network is permeated by a great deal of perceived benefit and an open atmosphere of experience exchange, as well as looking at how the service is used. Network meetings are also organised at regular intervals for SSG Product Database users.
