SSG ENTRE SUOMI
SSG has been working with the Centre for Occupational Safety in Finland since 2010, in a joint venture that has led to a harmonisation of safety training courses, which makes life easier for contractors in both Sweden and Finland.
The Centre for Occupational Safety offers a basic course in safety and the working environment.
On completion of the knowledge test, an Occupational Safety Card is issued, and this then acts as proof that the holder has passed the course. As a result of SSG’s collaboration, the Centre for Occupational Safety also recommends that Finnish industry accepts SSG Entre as proof of sound safety training. This enables Swedish contractors with an Entre passport to work at Finnish plants. However, under Finnish law, the companies are still required to provide information on Finnish occupational safety legislation, for which the Centre for Occupational Safety has developed course material.
Valid in both Sweden and Finland
The joint venture also applies in Sweden, where Finnish contractors who carry the Occupational Safety Card are entitled to work at facilities that require SSG Entre. The Finnish contractors are required to complete the course SSG Entre Suomi, which contains different questions about Swedish working environment legislation compared with the SSG Entre Basic Safety Training Course. In addition to this, they have access to the full range of local SSG Entre courses. The training is also offered at a reduced price.
