SSG Risk management model helps you calculate risks in your industry

SSG RISK MANAGEMENT MODEL

Being able to predict risks within an operation is an effective way of making sure that the working environment is safe and keeping unexpected costs down.

However, the task of identifying risky environments in the workplace is difficult, costly and can take a long time. Learning from each other and using a ready-made model for risk management saves time and money, and helps you to predict risks in your business where they traditionally arise.

What risks are in your work?

The SSG Risk Management Model assists you in managing the risks inherent in your business. The model has been drawn up by a working group within the SSG Safety Committee which, with representatives from various facilities, has produced a standardised method for identifying potential risks and dangers. The model also provides assistance in complying with official rules and regulations. The model is based on directives from the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and others, and on standards and guidelines provided by these bodies.

Useful tools on the risk management work

The SSG Risk Management Model acts as a process description, providing you with a tool to tackle risk management. It outlines how you might work and how you should think, as well as giving a step-by-step description at a general level, which makes it applicable across various different industries.

The SSG Risk Management Model contains methods, templates and checklists in an interactive flowchart that is available on SSG’s website. Common terms and definitions have also been compiled. The SSG Risk Management Model is updated constantly to take account of the latest legislation and regulations, via a reference group linked to the SSG Safety Committee.
