SSG works to develop common solutions to common industrial problems.

Developing common standards within industry leads to more efficient use of resources, greater personal safety, improved availability, greater operational reliability and thus also increased sustainability.

 Common standards also facilitate internal benchmarking for continued efficiencies, as well as supporting the choice of the best possible sustainable solutions during purchasing and procurement. SSG standards increase demands on suppliers, but they also create a forum for collaborative development work. On many of SSG’s committees, the biggest manufacturers and consultants work with the industry’s own experts to develop new standards. In other words, common standards are a key stop on the necessary road towards increased sustainability. The SSG Standard Solutions Group has so far drawn up more than 500 technical standards in the areas of technology, maintenance, purchasing, logistics, safety and the environment.
